Maduabum Returns to Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, January 26, 2012 – The Bakersfield Jam have acquired forward Chu Maduabum, the team announced today. Maduabum was the first Jam player and the third player ever drafted from the NBA D-League by an NBA team.

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Maduabum with the 56th overall pick of the 2011 NBA Draft, trading his draft rights to the Denver Nuggets. He appeared in 3 games with the Jam during the 2010-11 season, averaging 0.7 points in 7.0 minutes. A native of Nigeria, Maduabum played for the Dodan Warriors prior to joining the Jam, where he averaged 10.5 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 20 minutes per game.

Forward Brandon Wallace has been waived due to personal reasons.
